As President of Bridging Freedom, Ms. Hamilton is developing a long-term therapeutic safe-home to rehabilitate children that have been rescued from domestic minor sex trafficking. Bridging Freedom is taking the lead in the Tampa Bay area to provide a holistic, individualized, and interdisciplinary home to children who have been traumatized by commercial sexual exploitation. It is a horrific crime that has become the second largest criminal activity in the world, and within Florida is the third in the nation for human trafficking. To bring a sustainable solution, Ms. Hamilton has researched best models of rehabilitation in order to implement a successful program for child victims in Florida. The program model includes clinical and health management teams, as well as residential, educational, and volunteer teams to provide rehabilitation for the victims that will be placed in Bridging Freedom's home. These collaborations will provide: A safe and secure home environment, Clinical Trauma Therapy, Health Management, Education, Life Skills, Love, and a Childhood. Ms. Hamilton collaborates with the law enforcement members of the Clearwater/Tampa Bay Area Task Force On Human Trafficking which includes local police, sheriff’s departments, FBI, ICE, State of Florida DCF Human Trafficking staff, and with many professionals within our communities and universities.
