Thomas Gillan, CLET, CSTS Director, Criminal Justice Office. Thomas Gillan is Director of the Criminal Justice Office – a program of Catholic Charities of Central Florida. The Criminal Justice Office provides programs and services in the following areas: Law Enforcement, Corrections, Juvenile Justice and Crime Victim Services. Mr. Gillan has developed faith-based training programs for prison, jail and juvenile justice volunteers, at-risk youth and their parents, victim advocates, and law enforcement chaplains. In 1992, he developed the Central Florida Police Stress Unit, a program of the Criminal Justice Office that provides confidential support and educational programs and services for law enforcement agencies, officers and their families. Mr. Gillan has a degree in Broadcast Communication and has extensive training and experience in the areas of Critical Incident Stress and Trauma, Law Enforcement Stress and Suicide, In Line of Duty Death, Crisis Intervention, Hostage/Crisis Negotiation, Compassion Fatigue, Peer Support, Life Coaching and Human Trafficking. He is a certified Law Enforcement Trainer, Stress and Trauma Specialist, Personal Life Coach and Motivational Speaker. He has provided training for local, state and federal agencies across the nation. Mr. Gillan is a member in good standing with the American Academy of Police Psychology, the Critical Incident Stress Foundation, the Association for Death Education and Counseling, the International Conference of Police Chaplains, The Florida Network of Victim/Witness Services, Inc. and the National Organization of Victim Assistance.
