June Wallace has been a member of Soroptimist International since November 1, 1985:

  • Past Governor of Soroptimist International of the Americas Southern Region
  • Co-Founder of Largo/Mid-Pinellas Club in July 2005

Active in the Community:

  • Member of St. Paul United Methodist Church
  • Largo Volunteer in Policing
  • Member of Largo Chamber of Commerce prestigious “Women in Business Council”
  • Member of Pinellas County's Volunteer Corps Advisory Board
  • Member of Star Toastmasters
  • Member of United Nations Association of Tampa Bay
  • Member of Clearwater/Tampa Bay Area Human Trafficking Task Force
  • On July 7, 2009 June facilitated the first meeting of “Community Campaign against Human Trafficking” and remains its Facilitator.

The unifying purpose of Soroptimist International is Peace, and the mission is improving the lives of women and children in local communities and throughout the world; thus, Human Trafficking is of primary concern to members of the organization.

June has completed the two, on-line Human Trafficking courses and the 8-hour classroom HT course offered by St. Petersburg College RCPI. She has given many HT awareness presentations to Toastmasters, Rotary, Women’s Club, Soroptimist, Registered Nurses, Department of Juvenile Justice, etc. and is constantly striving to engage organizations in a collaborative effort to bring awareness to the scourge of Modern Day Slavery.
